After login and accepting access rights or when? After that you can try the application on phone. There might also be some changes on the server-side, is it working now?

Well the app works for me, but it shows a green arrow (which I presume is my Situare location at 0,0 (i.e. somewhere off the coast of Nigeria) while the little red dot that shows my GPS location is where I actually am, a little further north in Bath, England.

Pressing the green update button doesn't seem to do anything.

Any thoughts?

Ah, it's just updated me to my correct location (I set auto updates), so all's well and good

Actually the location update is done by pressing envelope (below green refresh button) and then you can write the message or leave it empty and update your location. Maybe the location update is not that intuitive.

When you update your location, it selects your GPS position or if GPS is not in use, it selects current map center position.

Ah ok, so the green circular arrow just looks for updates to your friends' locations then?

I pressed the wrong button in that case, doh!

The server is pull-based so the client has to request updates. Of course this could be done automatically with timer interval, but currently you have to do it manually.

E:

Green arrow - refresh, updates your and friends information
Envelope - Update location and send message (publish on Facebook)

Selecting your own profile (first tab) should really bring up the public on Facebook dialog instead of having it in the last / envelope tab. Seems a bit more intuitive to me.

That's a good idea! It would be faster to update. I don't know why we haven't done it that way, maybe it's the limited space in the tab...
