Hi,

my precious N900 wont boot any more. Here what I did: I did set it in offline mode and had my son playing games unti the battery was empty. After I charged it and tried to start it again, it hangs now in a dialogue "exit offline mode: yes/no". That dialogue doesn't react, it just hangs there. I already removed batteries, SIM card, memory card, but no results so far.
Any ideas what else I can try ( a part from never give it to my kids as a game console )? I don't want to reset the phone if I can avoid it

Thanks in advance!

have you tried everything? start it with/without charger with/without usb and so on. A reflash is probably the only way.

I did everything. Is there no shortcut I can push during the bootup to force it into phone/online mode? Or in offline mode - anything that allows me to bypass that dialogue

Perhaps - as a last resort - you could try leave it on that screen for a while and see if it responds after a whle. Try leaving it overnight maybe?

OK, that didn't do anything either. I used the flasher tool to set it in R&D mode, but with the same result.
No brilliant ideas here any more? Please?

Take the battery out and left it over night. It will kill the reserve power and it will reset.
Take the sim card out and Memory card out as well.

This should work. Sometimes the sim card connection became lost.

OK - the problem seems to be worse than what I thought. I have reflashed the phone, Now it boots as expected and asks my PIN code, but I cant enter any data. Seems that neither the touchscreen nor the keyboard has any function any longer.
Any ideas what could be wrong?
