Does this only work with friends who are using Sitaure? Or does it integrate with Facebook places?

It works only with friends using Situare because users have to accept access rights to their information.
This was started before Facebook released Places, but of course now it would be better to implement Places to the application. As far as I know Places can be used to check-in to predefined locations, but our application let you update your location wherever you want.

Tried today. First of all, it Capitalize first letter of email - it's confusing, and maybe it capitalize password input text as well - at least I couldn't get login successfully (and I'm sure I enter proper email and password, and my internet connection is ok). Anyway, after that I see message box(yellow horizontal message) with error "Map download failed", which repeats continuously after clicking.
So, unusable with this issues.

thanks for this great app. So what other platforms use this app other than maemo coz i wouldn't have anyone else to share my location with if this is limited to only maemo.
The UI is smooth and fancy and of course very good. My only concern is with the GPS fix coz every time I put it to bg and get back to it later it refixes the GPS position and most of the time its different and not exactly my position. Worst case was while I was publishing it to fb coz thogh it was showing the right pos while publishing when it actually happened the position was showing I was in some freeway near by

Thanks for feedback.
You can check the clients from here: http://www.situare.net. You can also use it from Facebook (search for Situare).

Facebook? Situare can not show a location or map on Facebook Home and Facebook news feed just application on Facebook.
If you friends didn't used Situare they can't see anything that you posted from Situare Application.

I meant that if you don't have a phone capable of using Situare clients, you (or your friends) can use it from Facebook (or directly from http://client.situare.net).
