Looks like others have had complications with the apn for simple:
Try changing the apn to:
Name: simpleweb
• Access Point (APN):simple
• Connection Type: http
• User Name: <none>
• Password: <none>
If you need to add it, it's port 80 and proxy 0.0.0.0.
Try those settings and then see if you can get a webpage. FWIW, I can't get a browser page if I'm on the wrong apn, despite seeing a strong signal. (though actually a strong signal here is unusual!)

Silly detail but the settings I can find say the apn is simple, not Simple - are you using an uppercase 's'?
Leave the proxy blank for now.
Go into the sttings, internet settings and choose the connection to edit: connection name should be: simpleweb, and type whatever it shows - mine says "packet data" but GPRS should be fine for simpleweb.
Next screen make it say apn: simple (no uppercase) and leave everything else blank. Then click 'advanced' and make sure that 'proxy' is not enable, finally click 'finish'.
Any luck?

The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to RevdKathy For This Useful Post: | ||
I use the Mobile carrier Simplemobile, they advertise the n900 as one of their "3g" usable phones, im in good coverage, i also have the internet plan for them.
However, my problem is, The n900 will not connect to the internet, it says im connected and im in 3.5G speeds, but when ever I load a page, it says "page load error". Ive tried everything but wifi (i dont have a router), but im sure wifi will work.
Can anyone help? Simplemobile uses Tmobile towers so the APN thingy is "epc.tmobile.com"
