Did happen to me too last Monday, no charging no connection anymore. Send it back to place of purchase, they send it to repair service, who then send it to Nokia. No news yet after 8 days without my phone. I keep you posted.
I am thinking of buying a second one so I can swap between them when in repair. Does anybody know if problem is resolved in newer n900?

(Service center is the same place where I left the phone. Nice girl took it away from me and gave me a just service number.

I sent mine about a week before yours and it is still saying awaiting replacement. Called them twice and both times been told they do not know when replacement will be available.
If they give you your replacement before mine I will not be impressed at all.

My port came out but I had it fixed in two hours. I guess that is the first positive thing that I can report about Lagos, Nigeria; any phone problems can be fixed easily.
Just cost me 10,000 Naira, or $70.00 XD.

The only way to prevent the usb port from breaking is to grind down the little teeth on the cable or charge the battery externally right?
