Hi guys,

i've created a litte application bash + zenity based.

Whit MultiDESKtop is possible to quick change the number of active desktop and relative the background

A dimostration

On start:



Type Y for to also change the backgrounds, only N to activate without changing the images. In this case I chose Y, then this will:




Choose how to enable, type enter and will open:



If you choose, for example 7, you will get 7 times.
If you don't want to change the background of a particular desktop just tap out of the box to skip to choose for the next background

And in the end





Where instead choose N, for only active the desktop whitout background (or whit an old background)..



Press enter ...




That's all!

My application also support the gestion of the first 4 desktop

If you wanna try:

Donwload and install the attachement of this message

For manual install, download the attachement in MyDocs and:

dpkg -i /home/user/MyDocs/multidesktop_1.0_all.deb

Ps. i forgot, you've been must installed the MohammadAG modified hildon-desktop

Very Nice,
but does the modified hildon desktop include the latest power saving options?

This should work with the latest MohammadAG/Matan Hildon-Desktop as all patches have been applied.

yes, i would make a .deb but first I want to finish the work.

Could you add the ability to choose hidden folders in the background selection popup? I keep backgrounds in /home/user/MyDocs/.images/backgrounds. I can not see the .images folder.

Otherwise, it appears to work ok.

ok, i add the funtion in next release

instead press ctrl + h for show hidden file or launch the application like root

i cannot seem to install with the xterm commands in this thread, could this be cause i am using the new patched hildon that d4rklar said about above? is there no easier way of installing it or puttin the files where they need to be using winscp or something?
