yes, sure mate
for the desktops here im using the aplication homescreen selector, you can find it in the aplication manager, is very fast, the problem is you can not configure it at all, is not like nicolai desktop switcher, but i like it also, and for the time and date is the next:
1.- Time: i chose the format 12 hours to can add the pm/am widget, the comand of Qbeecon is date +"%I:%M"
2.- am/pm: another Qbeecon qhit the comand date +"%p"
3.- Date other Qbeecon whit date +"%A %-d %B"
the others are 3 Qbeecon directs access to phone aplication, sms and contacts and omweather

I really want that date bit (don't need the time as i already have a clock, but the day, date and month i need) but those codes mean absolutely nothing to me, i installed QBW but uninstalled again because it looked so complicated.
Could you give, or point to, step by step instructions on getting the date?

ufff.... well, i can try, hehehe
but sorry if my english is not very good
well, first thing is, create a desktop widget in your desktop choosing it from the desktop settings and adding a new subprogram, or sub aplications, i dont know how it call it in english cuz i have it in spanish language, after that in the settings of the widget in the rigth side chose the option Add Cmd, in the title bar write the name as you like, i call it date but you can put another
in command copy the comand i posted before for the date and press save
now in the middle left side, go down and mark the "Hide Bg" and "Hide Click Bg", whit this you hide the default icon of the widget.
after that, (i do like this, but i dont know if is necesary do it) under of the squares we marked before there is 5 white squares whit the name of .png archives, i delete all this five and left it clear.
continue down after that and in comand title settings, the white square i delete also the name of the .png file, and in the button position, chose hidden
continue down and in command results Settings, i delete the name of the png file aslo, all in white, and beside you can chosse the place the letters apears, i chose botton rigth, and in results you can chose the font and the size of the letters.
continue down and in progress animation, delete the white square also and in frames use disabled.
now under that, in update Policy mark startup and click, and in interval chose one day.
now save it whit the top button of the rigth side and is finish
i think so i dont forget anything.

Thanks for the details. I followed it but it just says 'Date' (the title) and nothing else.
I'm pretty sure i put the code in correctly
+"%A %-d %B"
a space between A and % and also between d and % right?
Is there anything I'm missing from that code?
