Results better than expected. Nokia up 6,63% and over 8 euros at the moment.

ASP up by 4 euros. Very good news after seeing it slip for such a long time. Wonder where that rise came from. N8 pre-orders? Converged device sales up 61% from last year.

Handset unit good news countered by bad news from subsidiaries. NSN back to making big losses (-282 million euros), still lot less that that 1 billion loss during the same quarter last year. Navteq slid to losses as well.

EDIT: Nokia is going to fire 1800 workers.

Kauppalehti giving more inforrmation about the cuts. Elop wants to streamline Symbian and Ovi development. Most cuts from those units. 1800 cuts in total, about 800 in Finland and 1000 ROW.

Also, Elop has learned to pronounce Nokia correctly.

Nokia will delay E7 to early 2011 accoring to Reuters. As I see this, It might affect the release plan for n9. don't think the will release E7 and N9 to close to eachother. So I run with the conclusion that N9 won't come early 2011 and Instead mid late 2011.

€7 will also miss the chirstmas. will this affect Q4 and the overall result for 2010?

EDIT: goolgle translate didn't work today

Won't really affect Q4 sales. It was allways going to come out too late to really make it to Christmas market, and Christmas isn't usually very big boost for Eseries anyway. It will propably affect Q1 expectations/sales though. The "early 2011" might be quite late in Q1. Analyst from FIM (finnish bank) says that E7 pre-orders for large corporate clients will be shipped on week 10, aka mid-March. Claims to have supply chain info.

Not linking to Google translate, cause the drunken zen monk haikumasters that do translations for Google (all those fancy Google algorithms are just smokescreens to keep human-rights organizations off Google's zen monk sweatshops) really suck at doing translations between uralic and indo-european languages.

Just saying--be wary about basing everything on stock prices.

thats BS i read about that a few weeks or so Back and they really twisted how they defined Asia.
They Left out the two Biggest Countries India and China and only included 5 Countries i think overall.
Talk about twisting stats to make them fit needs desperate US analysts again
