I have a WD WorldBook storage drive attached by Wifi to my internet router. We access music and pictures on it from all of our PC/laptops and I also access it on my N900 via the built-in Media Player.
The N900 works fine with it except the track list order. It lists them alphabetically instead of by track number.
All .mp3s have track number tags, and are correctly picked up when I have the mp3s stored on the N900 itself (they are listed by track number). But when I access the stored on the storage drive via wifi, they list alphabetically.
This obviously affects play order and there's no way to re-order by track number, unless you know the track number and manually re-order them once they're in NowPlaying.
The same happens in MediaBox too.
Do you know if there's a way I can have .mp3s listed by track number regardless of where the file is stored (N900 or wifi storage)?
One thing I've noticed..not sure if it affects it...is that the files I've synched via WMP to my N900 only have .mp3s in the folder. However, the files on the storage device also have .jpg album covers. This isn't the case for all though folders though, and those that only have .mp3s still have this problem. So I don't think it's that.
Any ideas welcomed.
Thanks, Ian
