Because Android 2.3 will be out.. then 3.0.. then 3.1.. etc..

feature set will get closer and closer to 100% but you will find that every revision of the OS will break things and further development will need to take place.

Then again, we've all been using Microsoft Windows "beta" for years since they gave up on the MS-DOS "beta"..

I bought mine cheap off ebay when they didnt sell as well as had been expected. Got it for 150 bucks - which I thought was a good price. Its not that its a bad phone, but the N900 is like a drug I just can't kick. Sure you know its killing you - but the high man .... the high.

I've tried to run Gangstar 1.0.4 with no succes. This is what I got:

I did this in x-term

ln -s /home/user/webos/gamesave /media/internal
and the two "cannot create: errors disappeared but the rest of the output is the same. no Gangstar any ideas ?

And wow the Maemo n900 cmty is quite active! Very cool.
Good eye, and good developer work getting preenv out.
So now I am looking for a mit of help -- How about n900env!
There's a thread going about all this, and personally I would definitely like to see some n900 apps on WebOS!

Even just free ones, like Fennec, Opera Mobile & skype* would be fantastic to me. I haven't looked at the app list much yet to know what other awesome apps ya'll have that we don't.

I'm having a heck of a time trying to figure out how to download apps from the ovistore, maybe we can trade some freeware downloads? More importantly..

Javier - what do you think the work would be like to do the opposite? Could the stubs all be reversed? I realize there's a minor problem re X11, but we'll work on that..
This is exciting! It'd be cool if Meego+WebOS teamed up, like, on purpose. But for now, this alignment of the stars is pretty rad.
I already got TuxPaint for Maemo to work on a Pre+, so its definitely possible to do the opposite. Thanks in advance for your time/info!

ya i do "chmod +rwx sims" but still it close after the ea logo came out.

I got Asphalt5 to work and corrected the crash bug with this fix http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...6&postcount=54
Thanks for that! :-)

However the only problem now is that desktopgen does not generate the icon, so everytime i wanna play it i need to go to xterminal and type it all out..... I get the following error when trying to desktopgen asphalt5's appinfo.json file:
unable to parse "appinfo.json": Failed to open file 'appinfo.json': No such file or directory

Before I was getting a parsing error of line 177 now its just this, ive tried a couple times. The game still works fine.

Any ideas on how to fix or what I am missing?

No such file or directory = the file doesn't exist!
You are using desktopgen in the wrong folder!

Yeah. Asphalt5 is an folder mess.

/Home/user/Asphalt5/Asphalt5.

appinfo.json is on /Asphalt5.
Game is on /Asphalt5/Asphalt5.
