Hi!

Is there already way to enable/disable GPS fast, without going to settings?

Perhaps a button to the desktop or dropdown menu.

nope just faster way to enable/disbale gps without going setting.

Gps is possible to disable fast from dropdown menu but if you want to enable gps you have to go to settings.

The default Nokia widget that has positioning has a power button under it. Clicking it enables GPS.

Do you want this for battery saving purposes? I think it would only save a very small amount of battery of it's off. It doesn't use that much power when it's on and idling. Maybe you can ask the Advanced-interface-switcher dev to integrate it in there.

Alright then

Several apps can be added to the desktop that start and stop GPS: Maps, several mapping apps that are faster, camera, several gps trackers.

Since once everyone stops using GPS the daemon powers it down, it's not hard.

And, for the record, I am dedicating half a desktop for this. It's so cool.

As for integrating into interface switcher, I see little reason. It uses nothing when off, it's auto-closing when not needed, I don't see the problem.

OP: Did you enable positioning on your chat/messaging accounts? That would keep GPS active. Set location position to "not show" and you're golden.
