That command is a VERY risky thing to do. It makes your custom configuration the default settings, even after a reboot instead of loading standard settings. Sounds good...but if your phone becomes unstable and keeps rebooting, it will keep loading an unstable configuration with obvious serious consequences. Better to run a command or two after a reboot or, to make loading configurations even easier, setup Queen Beecon or something.

Crashdamage: Why do you keep repeating this and ignore corrections?
The fact is, if you have a problem and your phone reboots, it will NOT load the custom configuration. Did you ever do that -- I have a feeling that you have your system set up so well that you don't see what happens when a problem occurs. Well, I have seen it more than once:
When a problem occurs, you get a message saying your custom configuration has not been loaded because of the problem.
So your scenario about constantly rebooting doesn't happen.

install rootsh
install advanced kermel for power users
reboot
install advanced kernel settings
open xterm
root
kernel-config load lv (where lv is the preset of your choice)
kernel-config limits 250 800 (where 250 is min and 800 is max)
kernel-config save myconfig (where myconfig is the name of your config)
kernel-config default myconfig (uses your config as default, where myconfig is the name of your config)
please use the power search for things like this
