Hi all,

Here is my first attempt to package hellanzb & par2 utilities :

Download packages here :

http://bigbob.fun.free.fr/par2_0.4-7-0maemo1_armel.deb
http://bigbob.fun.free.fr/hellanzb_0...maemo1_all.deb

Activate all repositories following this tutorial : http://thenokiablog.com/2009/10/27/m...-applications/

Then, as usual, as root, install with :

Code:

cd where_you_put_packages
apt-get install -y python-twisted-core python-twisted-web python-pyopenssl unrar && dpkg -i par2_0.4-7-0maemo1_armel.deb hellanzb_0.13-3-0maemo1_all.deb

After successful installation, just edit this option in '/etc/hellanzb.conf' :

Code:

# Where the fully processed archives go
Hellanzb.DEST_DIR = os.path.expanduser('~') + '/MyDocs/Downloads/'

And change it for the directory where you want to get your stuff ...

Would like to try this program. Getting the error when I run hellanzb however. I think its a python 2.5 problem. Using 1.3 fw.

Strangely on your side you have 'python-elementtree' installed where on my side, I do not have it ...

Googling on the subject I found :

That depends on which version of Python you are running. Starting
with 2.5, ElementTree was moved into the standard library, as part of
the xml package.

So, I'm tempted to say you need to try that :

and reboot.

I installed python-elementtree earlier hoping it might fix the problems.

Googling.. it seems there are some changes in python 2.5 to elementtree and I think SimpleXMLWrite has been removed.
It is on my device though in the hellanzb lib folder, but its not importing for some reason.
