Does anyone know if it would be possible to hook up a remote camera to the N900?

It depends on what you mean by "Hook Up" - I have some Axis 211 cameras that I can view live along with various video feeds in Linux that are easy to stream to the N900, but all of this is done over network interfaces.

Plugging a USB device into the N900 requires a workaround that isn't quite finished. You can follow its progress here.

Classic example of arbitrary Nokia decision making. Couldn't just fallback to the no brainer of tagging with lat/lon if network isn't accessible, could you Nokia?

Hmm, ideally I wanted to use a sports camera that I can mount to a helmet that can plug into the N900 and then stream the video using Qik or something similar. Optical zoom on the camera would also be useful.
