On the bright side, I think the "static" bursts I sometimes hear are a side effect of charging the battery at the same time. When the battery's full, the noise disappears.
On all the version I try the one with the .40 at the end, open and close and the one with the .20 never start. Dam I will find it...

Quick reply...
Don't have fmradio (2010.03.20) and fmradio-wide (2010.03.40 or 2010.03.50) installed at the same time unless you know what you are doing.
They use the same fmradio.desktop (launch shortcut) and the same symbolic link /usr/bin/FMRadio (to /opt/fmradio/FMRadio.py or /opt/fmradio-wide/FMRadio.py, depending on the application).

For me, fmradio-wide 2010.03.40 worked both before and after update.
For some people fmradio works and fmradio-wide doesn't work.

The version that's in Extras-Devel (v2010.03.40) doesn't work at all though (and it didn't work on PR1.2 either) -- it just quits immediately after launching.

My only issue with FM Radio Player is that I wish it wouldn't try to rotate into portrait mode.

Anyone have any suggestions about stopping that (the CMD+Shift shortcut only works for one launch)?

EDIT:

FWIW, I don't have this issue with v2010.03.20 -- I just tried turning BT off and launching FMRP and it turned on the BT module and displayed the notification as expected.
Workability of different versions of fmradio probably depends on something you have (not) installed. I don't know.

I try this and get the same error code cannot load fm radio driver. When I open fmrp the BT doesn't go on automaticly like it use to be. Even if I open it manually and change channel get the same error code and no sound

am I the only where fmradio (not the "wide" version, because it doesn't work here) can't come back to the previous station after a phone call?

fmradio interrupted by the sms notify sound works, but when fmradio is interrupted by a phone call, it doesn't continues to play the previously heared station, but only "rauschen", I have to manually retune the station, thats very annoying;(
