I've just installed the latest Maemo updat and lost all my apps. Have they gone or can I get them back somehow?

Restore your application list from the backup you (should have) made before updating.

Other than that, all you can do is go through an do it manually (use faster app manager).

Yeah, I tried restoring and it asked me to re-install the app. Took me to app manager and left me there. I couldn't remember what apps I had, but quite a few!

Has this happened to anyone else? What was you work around? Faster app manager never works for me - I get failed to update catalogs error each time.

When it opens app manager it takes ages to actually do anything.

Just leave it there, crack open a beer, turn on the footy and it'll be prompting you to tick boxes and click accept sooner than you know.

Or, as suggested, use Faster Application Manager. It is not always fast, but as in the name, it is almost always fastER.

....but back to original question. Has pr1.3 made you lose your apps too or is mine an isolated instance?

If you upgrade to PR1.3 via the Ovi software or re-flash, you will loose the apps you've installed. It's been discussed many, many times here so the answer is "Yes - it's happened to lots of other people".
