So I've been seriously contemplating an iTouch 4g for jogging.
Mainly because unlike most other freaking iPods, it has BT and Nike+!
<SNIP>
Has anyone actually used a recent iPod with Nike+? Is there a comparable set-up for N900?
I know you could just use any GPS logger, but I want a polished experience etc.
Any ideas/suggestions/experiences?
**UPDATE**
My bad, Nike+ has always made use of an accelerometer or GPS: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nike%2BiPod
With the aid of the Nike+ GPS app, iTouch 4G & iPhone 4 need only the accelerometer* built into them.
Unlike previous Nano's or Touch's, which need either an:
accelerometer hooked-up to ones shoe that transmits to a receiver plugged into the iPod. OR
accelerometer hooked-up to ones shoe that transmits to a receiver already built-in.
Though it's still not clear how well this change works in practice, can't find anything on the net!
I would've thought having the accelerometer in ones shoe (or using pouch) would be more accurate.
*iPhone 4 makes use of it's accelerometer & GPS
