Hello, i have finally got rid of my old 5800, sold it for 110$ do you think it was worth it?

So now i'm in the quest to get my N900.

I looked through every store and best prices came up from the amazon store.

Brand new the phone is 399.99$ and they also have them used.

Now the used are either 313.99 or 332.99.
The 313.99 have This as a description Item may come repackaged. Minor cosmetic imperfection on top, front or sides of item. Minor cosmetic imperfection on bottom or back of item. Lid has minor cosmetic imperfection..

The 332.99 units have Open Box ,minor damage to outer box and package factory sealed or item might be repackaged.

I'm planning to buy one for 332.99, do any of you think that there would be any problems buying the used ones instead of brand new for 399.99? I want to buy used because it's cheaper and its expensive enough already. They all have 30 days return policy. So please give me your thoughts, want to join the maemo community as fast as possible!

tbh, for 70 dollar i wudnt run the risk, just go for a new one.

thinking of just ordering the one for 399.99 to save the hassle just in case anything happens. Any help on case and screen protector?

There's a wiki.maemo.org page on the screen protectors and cases. I don't remember it off the top of my head, but just go there, and run a search for cases or screen-protectors or something, and it should come up.

anyone have any other opinions about buying n900 from the warehouse?

I ordered two N900 from Amazon Warehouse Deals Germany, kept the better one and sent the other N900 back. I´m using the N900 everyday and I had no problems yet. In Germany at least there´s no risk to order from Amazon b/c you get full warranty for the used items also. Btw. meanwhile I have ordered other computers from Warehous Deals and I never had any problem. I dont´t care about scratches in the package or fingerprints on the product.

the usa amazon has warranty for 45$, i don't think it's included already , so it would be 380$ including warranty. it's pretty lame here.

yes 45$ for the warehouse deal, n900 is 332.99 in warehouse so the warranty is 45 because it's used. You don't have to pay for warranty if you buy the new one. I just ordered new n900, should be here by wednesday :P
