well, I'm in the same boat as ericsson. Yes, it sucks and Nokia support from Finland told her "sorry this phone doesn't support MMS". Even my old Motorola v195 supports MMS so why not a top of the line phone? Are you telling me that I can't get a cup holder in my BMW 7 series? Tell me you wouldn't be upset with that.

What I meant to say is that data plans in Canada cost a lot and my wife has a what Rogers call MMS package for $15 a month. And what Rogers does on their own specific phones is to "open up the data a little bit" enough to get the MMS messages through, without incurring actual data usage. But they have not been able to do that with this phone after being in the store for 3 hours with their tech hacking away at the phone. They eventually got receive to work, but not send. I love the community but the community here has not helped me at all with this problem. I have posts else where and no one has been able to help. Network problem or not, if an old dumb phone can send/receive MMS without using a data plan, a.k.a being on a MMS bundle/package, then why can't this phone do the same?

Thanks for the sarcasm and hence my point that this community is useless and doesn't help me one bit. My other post about wi-fi problem recieved no real solution either. Really thanks to this great community.

n900fan75,
get ready for good spanking. MMS uses gprs/edge/3g etc data and that is fact. You might need to contact your service provider so that they can enable mms service for your account.

99% of MMS messages is in fact 'post cards' - images with text. These are sent for fun, and often are some cartoonish thing. These are circulated like mad during holidays for instance.

All in all, it does the basic stuff just fine and I personally do not need anything more. Thanks frals for the app, though, the phone would feel quite lacking without it!
