Hello, Everyone.

I have been reading this incredible forum sporadically over the past two weeks as an aid to the decision making behind my purchase of a Nokia N800 from Buy.com. (thanks)

My N800 was delivered this afternoon and, after some initial problems updating the IT 2007 firmware between my office PC (WinXP) and N800, it appears that all is well with my new toy.

My questions are as follows:

What are the issues (if any) that a MacOS user (Tiger) will have to deal with in attempt to use a N800 with their Mac?

Can I use the USB cable to download music/files from my Mac to the N800?

If not, how could I transfer music from iTunes into the N800 or memory card?

Is there a BOF or sub-group of Mac users (here or elsewhere) who are also N800 users?

The N800 is very independent device, much less like a Palm and more like a Newton in that regard. You only really need a computer for firmware updates (and that's going away in the future, anyway). Filetransfers over USB work just fine on any platform, though I usually prefer to use scp since it doesn't involve having to find a USB cable.

I do not know about an iSync solution for OSX & N800.
Moving files aorund should not be a problem.

You can copy files to N800 just like you do to any typical pen drive. Most of the applications automatically scan for their type of files and load them for you

Seemed like the best "feature" to me when I first heard about the device and felt shocked - "What? Sexy, cool gadget and I can use it from my GNU/Linux distro without resorting to any hacks?"
