I thought maybe it's buried in some config file, but after flashing with emmc image, which should delete everything from the tablet it doesn't work either.
Maybe it's a hardware switch, which is turned on when they ship one to a country where it's not allowed to use it.

Did someone found a solution to this problem?

I assume Branko doesn't know English enough to write in it. So I'll translate for those that don't know Serbian.
I sent him an email detailing solutions in his native language and will continue there... move along.

Hello to all!
I also bought my N900 in Greece where i live..
I remember that there was an option for the FM Trasmitter located in the Settings menu. When i pressed the FM Tr. button there was a notification saying "FM Trasmitter disabled".
That was before the first ever update. After the first ever update, the FM Trans. option in settings menu, was no longer visible.
I'd love to find a solution to this problem and i don't mind if someone else 'll find it first! ((((o:

HI
I bought my N900 from Greece as well.

With PR1.3 update I do not see any option to enable the FM transmitter
Would you suggest if I install fmtx-faker will that help enabling the transmitter. Its just that the application is in Extra-Devel so i am just reluctant to install it.

Any help would be appreciated.

If it's disabled the same way as mine, fmtx-faker should enable it. Mine had it disabled from the start independent of firmware version.
Yes it's in extras-devel for a reason. As many times said, install things from it only on your responsibility. Enabling the fm transmitter may also break some local laws, guessing there are some in effect that require this hardware to be disabled.

If you really need it and you're up for tinkering, go for it. If you need it only occasionally leave it disabled.

If you decide to install it, you won't get back the icon in settings, you can enable it from the media player.

I have 6 months old phone and and i have used FMTx-faker on PR 1.2. I know the risk of bricking my phone. Since I have reflashed after horrible reboot loop problem so just scared to be in the same state.
Previously i had the icon on enable FM transmitter and with FM faker i was able to use it. Now the question is whether 0.7 version of FMtx faker is fully working with PR1.3??

I have PR1.3 global version with fmtx-faker 0.7 and it's working.
Have the icon in settings. I don't go there too much.

fmtx-faker is a very nice tool to have FM Transmitter enable,
Just like some of the people I tried to flash another firmware hope it would bring me the FM Transmitter function but it's not.

Though fmtx-faker bring us the function that we had lost. I wanna to get rid of this lock completely without install anything. I tried to do what I would do as a Symbian user, tried used Phoenix to get my product code change but its failed. It might require a SX-4 Card, but I don't got one.

Could anyone to give me help in changing my product code.

I reckon they blocking this function by using HW Code or Product Code.
My N900 get from Hong Kong, its HW Code is 2204.
