so far it seems like mixed reviews for this script

some people say it stops sound and causes problems
some say it does nothing
some say it speeds the phone up but doesnt increase volume

whats the bottom line?

I'd say it generally does speed up the phone, and increases HEADPHONE volume. , no problems what so ever.

During call I must reduce volume to half to avoid echo in receiver end. So it seems that there is too much crosstalk or sidetone from too loud earpiece speaker to microphone (and to uplink).

Which files defines parameters for earpiece?
- hp.parameters
- hs.parameters

Otherwise working well. Thanks!
FYI,

I ran your script and on my first call using the handset after rebooting, the caller complained about a nasty echo of their voice. I turned the volume down to what I thought it sounded like before but they said they still had a bit of echo. We tested it on a couple of calls and then I reverted just hp.parameters file back to the original PR1.3 settings. Subsequent calls had no echo even when the volume was turned up to the max.

Is it possible that adjusting the settings on the ear-piece interferes with an echo cancellation algrorithm which may be tuned for the original settings?

Yep seems as the only explanation to me. So I'll have to fix this issue.

ear ref padding is responsible for lowering or "muffling" sound quality so it won't sound too loud or dry as to hurt hearing. In my script i turned it down to make volume louder....guess it causes some problems on some devices. I don't have this issue though...strange.

Thx for the responses I'll fix this right away.

Yes i agree now that i think about it i can hear my own voice echo ing most of the time, sometimes really lould (one time in which i had to cut the call) and sometimes very low but really annoying.

I noticed a few callers said there was a bit of echo / vocal reverb of their own voices.

You should probably add something like;

kill -9 `pidof mediaplayer`

Readme says to "Uninstall Swapolube" so change it back settings to default than uninstall, just in case you guys didn't read

i did the tweak, and whoa, my video played almost instantly as soon as i click on the file. will check back tommorow with the battery life and other changes

Also, in the updated file and a folder "TuneN900" which has swap tweaks, laptop mode, kinda similar to swapolube.
