That`s so true, before i buy my phone i research, and i look into this community and all the things they done and does.

If it wasn`t for the support of this community (to the phone and each other) maybe i wouldn`t buy my N900.

Agreed. Find another mobile phone maker who supports their units as much as this maemo community supports the N900 and I'll be surprised. Good luck out there, I'm hanging tight for now... 3 months with the N900 and I'm staying!

What were you expecting to happen?
My phone is awesome, but only because these guys here and my active involvement made it so!
I was sitting with another n900 owner last night at the pub. I hadn't seen him in ages. His looked like it was straight out the box even though he has had it for 6 months. He was amazed at mine. Literally amazed. All I had done was been on here learning how to make my awesome device "awesomer"! (no not a word, but it fits!)

You don't wait for things to happen, the N900 isn't a magic phone and one morning you will wake up and you have a super customised phone in your hand.

It's like a buffet at wedding

1. The buffet is this community and applications

2. The empty plate is the N900

For you to fill your empty plate with the rich pickings that have been laid out in front of you, you will have to search the whole buffet and select your favourites and place them on to your plate.

Other words the plate will only get full if YOU fill it,

do more research get involved with our community alot more and you will find that the N900 is the best open source, fully customisable phone available at the moment (and it's over a year old).
