start app manager
disable all repositories
reboot
start app manager remove games and apps what you havde installed
enable only extras repository
try to install rootsh

you said that /opt is full so i thought that you could find biggest dirs with du command (please remember to run command from main dir). mydocs/cities is nokia maps IIRC have you installed whole world to your phone?

This does not sound like a brand new device if opt is 97% full when you have not installed any apps yet.
Either that or we have not been told of everything that was done since the purchase.

Option 1: Take it back and get a replacement if it was supposed to be new.
Option 2: Re-flash everything including your eMMC. (total reflash)

Clear your device & also reset to factory.
You will find that in Settings>Then click on top till you get the drop down menu.

Good Luck.

I think your best bet is just to reflash and start again. You've got something dodgey going on.

@edgar: Thanks, truly regret and apologize if I was going too hard on you moderators. And obviously you do read the threads. I got a little irritated that peoples patience in here is tested with a lot of mindless threads causing noise, it seems like many create a thread first and then think afterwards.

I am going to help you out next time, using that report link instead.

@chubi: As for trying to be helpful, I'll do this once:
If you indeed have bought a completely new device, it is more than obvious it shouldn't behave like that. There should be plenty of room for you to install rootsh providing you did that right (even though it's difficult to do wrong).
I don't know why you don't see this but, either you have received an already used device in your box sold as new, or it is broken somehow.

You should return it to the reseller or wherever you bought it. It's as simple as that.
