Is there anyway to permanently remove the hidden properties of some folders.. like .documents?
I don't see any point in hiding those folders, infact, i'm having trouble finding files on OpenOffice because of this.

I searched around but i can't find the solution
thanks.

You´re much better off using Control-H to show hidden files. You can change your keyboard settings to achieve that. If that doesn´t do the trick use cuteexplorer. For OO you might simply want to consider a different location.

Tinkering with file and folder attributes is not something to take lightly if you are not completely in the know about the inner workings of the OS in use. To make these changes permanent cold have dramatic results.

You could create non-hidden symlinks to the hidden folders somewhere that allows symlinks

Building on TiagoTiago's suggestion
Code:
ln -s /home/user/MyDocs/.documents /home/user/Documents
Make symbolic links for your music, images and videos the way you like it in the same way.
