also- how do I boot the android from the sd card I installed? I installed it to the internal memory after I did the SD card thing, but I'm not sure how to edit the leafpad file in order to allow loading from the sd card now! Someone?

I think people have simply become lazy and can't even be arsed to read posts properly or search for answers themselves. So, to you Ammyt, thanks for all the hard work man, you inspired me to install Droid without an SD using manual install and now it's running sweet as a nut on my phone.
Switch_ that's the most priceless thx I've ever read, thanks alot . AND for all users who've got OC'ed maemo's and wan't to install Nitdroid, I do NOT know how, bluntly. This was heavily discussed before @ nitdroid's forums and here are some simple workarounds. Neverthless I'll try my best to look for solutions and update the wiki + my first post, patience peeps

So, let’s assume you have installed or updated to latest kernel-power after installing NITDroid.
Note. kernel-power is compatible with multiboot starting from version 39.
First, make sure you have version 39 or later installed.

Second, you MUST also have the zImage file from kernel-power.
It comes in an optional package kernel-power-bootimg. If in doubt, do this:

Code:
apt-get install kernel-power-bootimg kernel-power-modules
Now you can either manually modify the .item file, or you can let multiboot handle it automatically:

Code:
apt-get install multiboot-kernel-power
This will do everything for you
I hope these instructions were clear to all power users who are tempted to install nitdroid
