that is not the N9. that is the recently released E7.

N9 is supposedly RM-680 and MeeGo proto. That example uses new battery model from Nokia that's 1320mah (vs 1200mah inside E7)with higher voltage than any other Nokia. It's not last or first time Nokia uses similar design on it's high end.
It's another story will see that exact proto to be the first MeeGo phone from Nokia. Eldar, dsmobile, Michael-Dallas are saying that that's the case. Though things might have changed so who knows.

It isn't though.

In the prototype, there's a model label saying "N9":


Also the E7 looks much more finished, complete. And more droid-like in shape. Well, to me, anyway.




I believe prototypes generally are equiped with 0s instead of future model numbers at Nokia? Like the N00, etc.

To me, the "N9" photos seems like a build prototype bragging to be more than it is. Not quite an N8, not quite an E7, and probably not quite the N9 either.
