because it an iphone, which is very closed. everybody know apple doesn't allow the developers to do a lot of things, like multi tasting etc, and that they are very strict with their developers. From what I remember even the cpu is undercloacked and doesn't run at it's full potential, because it will eat their battery alive. apple will never let a developer use what ever he closed.
and lets not count jailbreak since from apples point of view that's illegal

Yup, I've also saw it here, but there was a link to some source if I remember correctly. Anyway things like chipset and additional hardware helpers can lower the scales either way.

Some GLES 1.1 benchmarks here:

No N900 or aforementioned Samsung phones.

I only saw numbers....where are the real comparison?
(the question isn't to plaban, but for the post author in the blog)

The cause of A is A? Apple's walled garden doesn't mean they underclock the CPU, and doesn't necessarily mean they don't have a "enterGameMode" API.

I quite like the look of the Samsung Wave especially the media player. Why is the N900 media player so primitive and boring?

Its annoying as I see polish on the Wave interface that the N900 badly needs for that "cool" factor. I'm almost tempted to get the Wave when I renew my other T-Mobile contract in July, have it as a backup phone. Except no "free" phone is free, it would probably cost at least £240 over the course of the year in how much more the contract would be than a renewed SIM only one will do and I can't rationalise that.

GLbenchmark 2.0 is available; N900 is supported. Device performance comparison
