I have a friend who recently acquired a mytouch 4g. Now, I know that the mytouch uses the built-in Qik integration to place video calls to other Android devices. This leaves me with 2 questions.

1. Does Qik support video calls on the N900 (AFAIK it doesn't)?

2. If Qik doesn't, what is a platform available on Maemo and Android that supports video calling?

Thank you in advance for the responses.

I'm interested too. So far, I've never been able to place a video call between my n900 and wife's Galaxy Tab.

If you're talking about NITDroid ( The Android port to N900 ) it dosen't yet support even voice calls fully , the camera dosen't work with NITDroid so that's a sure no . But i've not tried VOIP apps like Skype or any other.

If you're talking about Maemo , we have Skype which works like a charm , There's Qik which works to broadcast live videos , and share on Youtube .

I am very curious about this myself. Qik has always been cooperative with nokia, I wonder when we are gonna get this integrated with our nokias.

Maybe they will release the source codes and any interested developers can integrate it for us.
