Heh.

More fool me. I won't make that mistake again. 434mhz ARM11 with NO GPU! Omg. And it only became barely useable after 2 Firmware updates!

Anyway, I got my N900 coming tommorow (The phone that I should have got in November 2009). I can't wait. Gonna be spending tommorow clearing all my stuff off of the N97, then I'm putting it up for sale.

I doubt I'll get very much for it though.
Same happened to a friend of mine who bought the n97 thinking it was Nokia's flagship device (it was marketed as such and the name helped). We were both pretty astonished looking at my n81 and his brand new n97 running picodrive side by side. I couldn't believe how much better the framerate was on my one year old n81. Anecdotes aside, the N900 is a whole different beast. I think you'll enjoy it.

I'm getting the feeling I could be one of the only people here who never owned a N95, I opted for the N93 instead. Still got it somewhere for sentimental value. Optical Zoom YEAH!

An awesome phone. I wanted it, but after trying it out in person decided not to get it because it was REALLY big.

It was but it was awesome too, confused the hell out of a few people, when I would flip it in random directions, I quite liked the portrait, laptopish mode it had.

e72.......

it should be my Galaxy S but it's dreadful when it lags/hangs, (specially after playing a game) and phone calls are not received, if it is received, it does not ring! then a slight vibrate and voila! auto-REBOOT!

i never experienced this on the n900......or not yet

Same here, I was also thinking about getting another N900 for backup in case something happens to my current one.. I will surely buy another one before they stop selling it....I know I love N900 that much, especially its browser, internet on the go in n900 is my favorite part. (6mb down and 1.5 mb up on tmobile 3g network with my $5.99 Tzone plan ) Can't beat that...

Does the Galaxy S really have those software problems? I was considering getting one.

Only call problem I've had with N900 was a few weeks ago was having problems with pulseaudio. The service would randomly not be running at boot so I'd have to start it manually. Led to the greatness of intelligently avoiding unwanted calls, stop pulseaudio.
I answererd but couldn't hear anything, could you? No? Oh well"

The slight vibrate then auto-reboot reminds me of, every sony ericsson I've owned, they would just randomly do it. Other than my P800, that was the only one that didn't have that "bug".

I'm lucky to get 3mb over here. Oddly enough though, I got my best speeds in the middle of nowhere on holiday last year in Llangrannog in Wales. No Orange signal or O2 signal but my Three signal was perfect with HSDPA speeds of about 3.8mb.

My trusty E71 it continues to work flawlessly, great battery life, does everything I need it to, nav, ACM, Sportstracker, etc. I also use it to give my desktop PC internet access when my Verizon DSL goes down. My N900 is my internet tablet when I am not by my desktop and I love it. I don't go anywhere without them both !
