Mmm ...your explanation does not convince me.. o.O
I knew the the mod enables the hardware synchronization.. but i doubt that the hildon will look better because there are less frames to see.. O_O
The frame rate during the transitions is muuuch higher ...
And everyone can see this, expecially with my transitions (try it and see)... it isnt' an optical effect >.<

By the way.. added a descriptions of all the mods in the first post

@TiagoTiago: if everyone of us would wait the feedback of other people to put the *** of his own N900 on the fire.. we wouldn't be here doing the geek by the way ... 15 pages of forum are enought for you? xD

OK, so if you're waiting for a feedback, here it is:
I tried some of these maemods: including modified hildon, custom transitions, camera mod, portrait status-bar..

Also I didn't like some of them and restored perfectly: portrait status-bar, camera mod.

And everything is working great. Those transitions are fast and look cool (I prefer something with "blue" word), modified hildon-desktop is also cool and allows you to use kinetic scrolling in main menu.. Just try it, If you don't like them you can restore to original anyway, and combined with Swappolube, my device is now really fast!

Great! Thanks!

One question: I've got the power kernel installed (assuming it is 'enhanced Linux kernel for power users') but I'm getting a 'power kernel not installed' error...?

The test for the presence of the power kernel il mado through the kernel-power-settings package... (all with the command dpkg --get-selections | grep -c kernel-power-settings )

Have you even that ?

Open the terminal, write "maemodder" and post here the result.

Maybe there is some missing dependency

Mmmm .... always the dependencies :/

I've just discovered (tnx to M750 :P) that the python GUI needs another pair of dependencies:

apt-get install python-osso python-gtk2

Let me know if this solve the problems .. Ah by the way.. but does the zenity windows appear ? (http://www.maemomeego.net/files/post...124_173448.png)

PS: soon i'll post a new version with the correct dependencies in the control file of the deb, so that everyone can install it with a simple dpkg -i and then let "apt-get install" -f solve de dependencies.

Sorry never saw it when I posted. I usually open new tabs on my browser and let it stay there for a couple of hours before I reply without refreshing it
