Hello Mediabox users,

I am using Mediabox 2010.11.11, since a couple of days now. I've tried earlier versions and came across the problem that many of my flac files are "unspecified". In other words the id tags are not recognized. While other flac files are! I was hoping this issue was fixed for 2010.11.11, but is isn't.

I've used several tools to write the id tags and find the difference between the flac files that work and that don't.. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the difference.

Can someone please explain how to get it work? How do I tag the flac's? From what I understand, there are different ways to tag files. I.e. ID3v1, ID3v2, Flac Native, Ogg Vorbis ... Which one should I use and which tool is recommended?

note: native media player doesn't have tag issues with the flac's.

Greets,
Ray

I use EasyTAG and these settings:

EDIT: Both Media Player and Mediabox sees them fine.

I'm using those settings and I can't get the tags to display in Media Player or Mediabox.

Do you know what versions of ogg-support and/or extra-decoders you have installed? I have ogg-support 1.0.5, and I think that might be the problem.

Vorbis comments is the right way to tag FLACs. Tagging with ID3 tags is possible too, but not supported by many players.

Code:
gstreamer0.10-ogg 0.10.23-0maemo4+0m5-tk1
libogg0 1:1.1.3-2.tk2
ogg-support 1.0.6~rc1
decoders-support 0.4

Thanks, I got song names and albums to display.

I had to enable extras-devel and get the ogg-support from there. ogg-support 1.0.6~rc1 seems to have fixed my problem of the tags not showing.
