If you want to install Python or something else then go to this site:
http://gronmayer.com/n800/repos/
Search for the package you want, then add the details as instructed. Then you can install through the application manager list instead of downloading and installing (downloading single packages will just send you into dependency hell most of the time).
If you access that URL above from the N800 then there's even a one-click install for getting the repository in question into the N800.

all the time it tells me that packages are missing
i also want to know how to view a movie in normal speed
i dont know what to do, first time i use linux based os.
try downloading python and other software and it says there are some packages are missing
libsdl-ttf2.0-0
libsdl-ttf2.0-0
libncurses5(
i did what a member told me, to enable some features, but nothing happened
