+1 for the reflect theme. I'm using it atm, and it's very nice.

Another step on the road.

http://gitorious.org/cordia/hildon-desktop/commits/mx - here's hildon-desktop that compiles against Clutter 1.5 and Mx 1.1. It uses Mx in place of Tidy that was embedded in desktop source.

It's not done yet, but it builds and displays desktop. So if anyone is interested in hacking it - have fun.

This really a great idea. I'm curoius what other benefits there are by using the meego core other than better sgx drivers? There is alot of room for improvement in the graphics performance but to me there are no other problems with the device.

This is very insteresting, but wouldn't it be more interesting if we could do the other way around?
Like MeeGo UI ontop of Maemo5 lol and replace the old out dated maemo kernel and drivers.

Sorry Smoku, i'm not hijacking buddy. I'm just mentioning that's all. But i did say this is a really good idea making Maemo5 UI on top of MeeGo core. I like your idea bud. I would love to see how the project progressing though. Will be happily be your tester

Please don't be mad, your wife wouldn't be happy if you are mad you know. You are one of our best guy here. We all know you and love you (not in sexual way) and I'll be too happy to see something growing from this project.

I admit it was "invented" in like 10 seconds when Gitorious asked me for the name of the project to create.

I don't have a better name so far... but if we want to change it, the sooner the better.
i liked that name, but i guess it's too similar to meego?

maybe something like maegui or maegooi... gotta have that "mae" and that "g"

We're already in a process of changing it.
