Okey, so i finally overclocked with titans from appmanager. Rebooted and checked that it was installed.

I used QCPUFreq to enable overclocking and push it up to 850.
I didnt touch any other options.

So, I canīt say that anything feels any different at all. Everything is exactly the same slow speed as before with only one exception. And that is fillmore recorder which now actually can do playback (not so at stock speed sadly).

So am I missing something here? Did I just void my warranty for one single app to work better. I thought OC would be like night n day or is 850 just not enough?

Any input would be great

850 is pretty good... problem is that a lot of the slowness is the disk io, not the cpu.

Swappolube and Transition Control are going to make your N900 appear to run faster and more smoothly. Swappolube adjusts how the N900 handles data and Transition Control allows you to reduce the length of the transitions between UI actions. I use both applications, I am OC'd to 1100MHz using Ideal voltage profile. I'm pretty happy with it now.

The conclusion is obvious: do not overclock.

Yeah, i have both Swappolube and Transition Control installed and they do make a difference. But they worked just as well without oc.

I would have to say that if anyone whants the "iphone" smoothness and 1 sec app opening, it is not going to happen at OC 850. Thats for sure.

However, if you have 243 apps running at the same time, OC might be a good idea.
