Well the word is mid-November - so if we're lucky, we might get it sometime next week (there are some rumors about an event on Wednesday)

But.. Isn't that correct that might be very few supported stuff at the moment on Os2008, so using OS2007 would be better at the near future?

I haven't had mine but for three weeks or so. Isn't it supposed to come with a bunch of apps already included? For me, the improved performance and ability to play more file types on the player will encourage me to upgrade. Although, I'm going to read this board very carefully to see what kind of reaction you "pro's" have.

Fair point, and probably a very good reason to install the dual-booting menu and clone OS2007 to SD card prior to flashing with OS2008!

EDIT: Assuming the above is possible - any kernel or initfs changes in OS2008 may rule this out...

m623d I don't understand why you won't install anything? Are u masochist? What does it change, left alone you?
And how many threads are there about this Os being waited? Simply making a search would have given you an answer.
I have shouted against Nokia for the problem about sdhc So I'm not always on their side but for this os it was said mid november so don't expect it before at least mid november..
There are also bugs on the current os and maybe they are also taking a bit of time for solving some. For me these bugs also have priority...
Sorry but it makes me think about my boss, i tell him it wont be ready before 1week and then he'll ask me everyday if it's ready, that makes me nervous and work takes longer and relations get tensed..

Is there any chance that OS2008 would support higher capacity and faster memory cards than the 8GB?

Well, since OS2007 already does, then . . . yes?
