Hello

I have been using the Joikuspot Premium for last 6 months on my N900 but lately I have started facing problem. The issue is that my notebook detects the Joikuspot wifi and it connects as well but it gets stuck at acquiring IP address part. Sometimes it does acquire IP address and I can browse internet from my notebook but it does not work more than 10 mins. While it happens, if do nslookup on my system, it tells me that DNS could not found.

To resolve this issue, I have already removed and reinstalled Joikupsot as suggested by Joikusoft support but it did not help. Last night I flashed my N900 and reinstalled Maemo OS but still no luck.I am using the stock kernel and my system is Windows XP SP3. Also, I tried with other systems, it is same.

Anyone here has any clue or experienced the similar issue?

No sorry, mine is working fine.

Maybe you can post your configuration settings for a comparison?

Regarding the IP address, you can try to set a static ip for your notebook, configuring also manual gateway and DNS, the default should be 192.168.2.1 for both.

I face a different problem randomly, seems that the n900 wifi stops working at all, but reloading joikuspot fix it. This is the only issue that i've found.

Thank you all. I have tried everything so far but nothing seems to work here. Regarding static IP address, it does not work. I have tried it already.

I have already put alternate DNS server and running a latest version of Joikuspot.

Yes, it does. I believe that I have tried almost everything possible to make it work but still can't understand what is going wrong. Is it something to do the wireless interference from other access points? Coz I can see my notebook wifi adapters sending packets but there are no outgoing packets from my phone.

It sometimes connect but cannot resolve names so DNS is also having issues. I have already tried alternate DNS but did not help.
