Hello everyone, I have been wondering for a while if there's anyway to use my N900 as a blue tooth adapter for audio transfer mostly.
Example:
-Connect N900 to computer
-Play a song from your library
-You hear it using your blue tooth enabled headphones

Basically it would mean treating your N900 as a blue tooth dongle.

If you have any info on how to do this I would greatly appreciate if you could post it here, if there's another thread for this feel free to close this one and direct me to that one.

Thanks in advance,

Because then I can use only one bluetooth receiver instead of a bunch one for each thing, and having to keep synchronizing with each one every time I want to hear from that.

Indeed, but unfortunately I'm not careful at all with those things, it took about 3 or 4 moths to literally destroy 10 of those little things, of course I'm a lot more careful with my $500 phone.

P.D: The BT dongles are extremely cheap, you can get them even for a few cents at eBay and most of them are reliable, I just don't like them, that's why I would like to have an application to do this for me.

So... I guess this is not possible at this point in time, is it?

They are doing it backwards actually, they are trying to use the N900 as a BT receiver. A nice find nonetheless.

Well, I will sell you a "special" bluetooth dongle for $500 -- then you'll be careful with it.

Anyway, the likeliest approach would be using pulseaudio for network streaming (starting here, maybe).

Another option would be to keep all your music on the N900, and just use the computer to control playback (with mpd, maybe), but that's not really doing what you asked about.
