hi all,

it's bugging me for a while now but since i was using faster app manager I didn't use the standard app manager.

my problem is that i cannot use the app manager anymore. it claimsthat there is no room. even after removing blocks (around 40mb) i can't even install the small solitaire game from OVI (which needs the standard app manager)

anyone familiar with this problem?

thanks

I have the same issue with the standard app manager : "no apps available"
(so no more download from ovi store and no more yellow icon app update notifier in the status bar)
In the journal settings, only hildon-application-manager 2.2.71 is notified.

(also the great faster app manager is working like a charme)

I deleted many apps so I have 70mo free rootfs.

In Xterminal typing apt-get upgrade give me nothing and apt-get update give me :

E: Could not open lock file /var/lib/apt/lists/lock - open (2 No such file or directory)
E: Unable to lock the list directory
and apt-get clean give me :

E: Lists directory /var/lib/apt/lists/partial is missing.
Still searching a solution to this issue...

Now I saw somewhere in the wiki that the problem could come from the M.AG hildon-menu-status bar with 6 rows : http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=884348&postcount=8
because the preferences are change
echo "Package: hildon-status-menu
Pin: release a=unstable
Pin-Priority: 1001" >> /etc/apt/preferences
Please could someone can confirm this and tell how to make default hildon-status coming back ?

Thanks

ok, problem resolved :-)

I found the solution in this thread : http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=48361

mkdir -p /var/lib/apt/lists/partial
chmod 755 /var/lib/apt/lists && chmod 755 /var/lib/apt/lists/partial
plus an apt-get update andapt-get upgrade, all is working fine now !
