Hi,

samsung has launched a TV-Remote app for all TV from 2010 with Eth.

Somebody got a solution for our N900?
Or knows the Protocoll so I could do it my own with Qt.

I bought me a UE46C8700 (wich has a LINUX inside :-) , see samygo project)

...and I want to have a N900-remote-app.
Info:

Samsung made it only for Win-Mobile ,iOs and Bada
:-(

any ideas?

There's two different IR device remote controls for the N900 and one widget. Irreco, Irreco Widget, and qtirreco

Followup: If the remote uses Bluetooth, try BlueMaemo. I have a Sony GoogleTV and there is nothing out there to support it with my N900 .

thanks, BUT...

...see in my link:

"This application is Wi-Fi remote control of Samsung Internet@TV for 2010. If both your iPhone and TV were connected to the same access point, your iPhone is linked with TV automatically and you can use your iPhone like general remote."

Not IR, not Bluetooth, so I would like to know the TCP-IP Protocoll....

UPnP. Look on the SamyGo forums a bit more; programs to send messages to the TV through UPnP exist. IIRC there are programs that query a UPnP server and returns the "methods" supported by it

At the moment I was able to simulate EVERY IR-remote in my household with n900.

The n900 has no IR-receiver. So you have to record the IR-remote with another linux computer that has a ir-receiver.

If nothing works you have to use lirc-raw recording.

Lirc configurations work with the irreco-Widget.

OK,
but I prefer LAN for remoting my TV, not IR

So I could write a simple Qt-App wich works on my Notebook too
