how many times your n900 has been fallen ?
recently mine has and it's second time , so i need some kinda sympthy thingy :P

just don't drop it while charging, the usb thing will snap off. i dropped mine last night but it only fell like 2-3 feet to a wooden floor.

Damn, my N900 takes a hit to the flor atleast 5-6 times a week, when i foget ive plugged it to the PC, and when im getting up from the chair i ALWAYS get the ubs cable around my foot and slams the phone to the floor. Anyhow, still in 1 piece.

Nine's dropped... probably 5-6 times. Most of them onto stone tile and concrete. Quite a few from about 3-4 feet in height, it not more.

The USB thing is... the angry reaction is to just yell FUD. It's not FUD, and it's real problem, but it is NOT pervasive. It does not affect ALL N900s. My N900's USB port has taken pretty heavy use, and it has never started to get any more wobbly or lose than normal.

Anyway, the latest drops on pavement have left my N900 with slightly scratched back corners. Screen is still pretty much completely fine though.

It still works just fine. (I get a bit suspicious about it auto-rotating, and sometimes worry the accelerometer is getting screwy, but thus far I've never had measurable accelerometer problems that reboot couldn't fix.)
