Those who have an original Navicore Personal 2007 licence – it is still valid even if it has expired with Wayfinder – I’ve tried it and it works !
The downside is that you have to reflash with os2007 to install Navicore 2007.
Just enter your licence key and the server will honor it.

I posses the original Navicore application and license, yet when tried the solution you described above, the server still complains my license has expired as it does with Wayfinder.
Perhaps your license has never been used with Wayfinder so it hasn't been updated to the limited licence?

So I'm in the same position.
I had a Wayfinder license, which I was pretty sure was unlimited, but isn't. I found it the hard way: I needed navigation and it was not working.
I investigated and the license expired around February 2011.
Of course I would be very happy to have wayfinder back in a usable state, since using online navigation is not an option for me...
Of course getting the 7 days trial over and over again is not an option (does it work without getting online?)
Please do not post more 'It's dead, Jim' posts. It may be dead, but this is computer science, not medicine ;-)
Edit: I only have a n810 right now.
Edit2: I would also pay another 3 yrs extension if someone would provide it...

I don’t know if it will work for licences that were issued specifically for Wayfinder , but it may be worth a try.
Navicore has all the features that Wayfinder has except no time limit !
It was a clever way for the new owners of Navicore to make more money.
I think the Navicore/Wayfinder navigation on the Tablets are still an excellent system.
Ok, the maps may not be up to date, but very little has changed in four years.
Remember that you can manually update speedcams and Pios.
The Navicore aready has built in the capability for live traffic updates and dynamic rerouting. My next project may be to build a server for this and point the ‘update traffic info’ to this.
It would be good if we could get it to work on os2008. I tried installing it on os2008 and it confirmed that the installation was successful – It even gave me a pretty Navicore icon on screen , but tapping it did nothing .I think it could just be the path to execute needs configuring.
I have uploaded the Navicore 2007 .deb here- (see post further down) Would be great to get it working on os2008 – Who needs Wayfinder !
