Hi all few question very new.....i installed some software on the n800 says they are installed but can not see any icon for them..am i missing some files or something..also bit confused how the installin works...can someone give me a quick read me file how the workin on installin stuff is...

Also i have a option to lock the n800....does anyone know the number as standard as i want to change it to one of my own...is it in the box that come with it somewhere as i couldnt see any lock code....

If I recall, the default lock code is 12345. It's in the manual.

Fallen: Some software is text based and runs from the command line or doesn't make a launcher icon for itself. In either case, it usually puts itself somewhere in the PATH (in other words you don't have to be in a specific directory (folder) in order to run it). If you've got xTerm installed, you should be able to run it, then type in the program name to get it to run. (The actual program name should be found in the documentation of whatever program you're trying to run). The command prompt can be a little scary but there's lots of great HOW-TOs out there by ppl in the tablet community.
