I have a Nokia 770 and I was wondering if it was possible to run java applets in the web browser either with the most recent os2007he or os2006. thank you

Unfortunately, not at the moment, and it's not likely that Sun's Java will support the ARM architecture anytime soon. The mobile profiles of Java that are meant for mobile phones won't be able to run normal Java applets either ..

I'm not aware of anyone trying to get a Java plugin working --- I'm still working on Java, period --- if anyone got it working, it would likely require the new Mozilla-based browser in OS2008 that is due for a backport to OS2007HE.

Getting plugins/extensions working is still a black art and not well understood outside of Nokia, AFAICT.

it will probably happen eventually, i thought i would never have a browser that didnt crash every 5 minutes, but that happened too
