how about you make a new myprofile with original frequencies?

sudo gainroot
kernel-config load lv
kernel-config limits "lower original" "higher original"
kernel-config save myprofile1
kernel-config default myprofile1

i think the originals were 250 and 600.

and you checked the .kernel folder? i found my myprofile there..

Found 2 files in .kernel folder, myprofile1 and my_fixed_oc. Deleted them both and rebooted, kernel-config show shows 500min 850max which was my "myprofile1" so its still autoloading it?? Any idea's?
Thanks

Sorry, just saw this post? Yeh was in .kernel folder, i'll make a new myprofile1 then. Good thinking batman!
I don't suppose you know how to stop userspace becoming ondemand do you? I'm trying to stop my cpu from scaling, fixed @ 900 but it changes itself?
Thanks

Holy Overclocking Batman
i think that if you set min and max frequency to 900 it stays there without scaling. there is also something about the scaling in Qcpufreq thread

http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=56757

edit. just saw the other thread you asked this.. sorry, but cant help with that. goes way over my head

I've kind of figured it out now, if u "kernel-config show" or have qcpufreq it show what your governor is set to (ondemand by default) ondemand lets your cpu scale available freq's on demand! The only way to change it (as far as i'm aware) is to install cpufreqUI and set governor to "userspace" apply and close. Then run xterm "kernel-config limits 900 900" BINGO! Hasn't changed since and the responce is much better! Even tho i followed jakimans... http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...postcount=4917 it still didn't work. Anyhoo, 2 more querys i had resolved for now! Cheers mate

Nope!? Scaling still won't stay fixed?? Halfway through the day the min freq changes back to 125Mhz WWWHHHHYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!

Haven't noticed any difference! Just does things instantly like it should! But like i said... it doesn't stay fixed for some reason?

it's because of the phone app is buggy. each time u start the phone app the freq will drop to 125 mhz. this is a known bug and it is fixed in the power kernel by adding 125 mhz to the tuneable value avoid_frequencies. u want to load a default setting with kernel-config load default and then override the limits with kernel-config limits x,y. u don't need to load a userspace driver. Or u want to read the wiki page about overclocking. u want to try my tools too.

Oooooh thats makes sense now, although i don't quite understand how to add 125mhz to tunable value? So will it work with ondemand still? No need for cpufreqUI then? Could you tell me step by step PRETTY PLEASE!! I've even forgotton how to set a default setting which i've done before?? I'm learning. What tools u got?
Thanks
