Let me ask you all a question:
After months and months with your Tabs, are you sold on the 7" screen size, or are there times you would prefer to have something larger (eg 9.7-10.1")?
I'm very interested in your responses!

That's strange. What player(s) are you using? I haven't tried that myself yet--I don't listen to music much, much less set up a playlist.

Here's the size difference between the LG Optimus Pad and the Galaxy Tab:
With a tiny bezel, they would be quite similar. Though in this form the 8.9" is clearly not pocketable, and you're right, a different class of device.
Though I do believe that this device could be gripped by an adult-male's hand quite easily.

It does look a little too big, and I was holding out hope that 8.9 was the magic number. 7 just seems a little small.
I am thinking I might just buy jackets and cargos that have wide enough pockets, and deal with it just for the extra screen real-estate.

I agree, though if Samsung got rid of the bezel to the same degree as smartphones, an 8.9" tablet could be very similarly sized to a 7" tablet -- perhaps a touch wider.

can you comment on the screen responsiveness? The reviews on the BB site are bi-polar with the biggest negative being the screen.

How does the GPS do w/o data? [saw a review that it sucks in general w/o the sim card]

Also: Comparing all this to the Nokia and Community SSU just sort of shows how far behind and out-of-touch Nokia managed to make Maemo get when they had far more potential and far, FAR more time on their side to get the Maemo community to do something similar. I'm kinda pissed at the wasted opportunities for my N800. Oh well.
Nokia's slogan shouldn't be the pedo-palmgrabbing image with the slogan, "Connecting People"... It should be one hand open pleadingly with another hand giving the middle finger and the more apt slogan, "Potential Unrealized." --DR
