I have been using IMAP and have had no trouble reading and sending email with Gmail on my N800. Recently, I noticed that there is no longer any notification of any new Gmail. I checked all of the settings, and also the setting for 5 minute updates. If I reboot, then it will indicate that I have mail. Even the Mnotify app doesn't work. Any suggestions?

GMail has been experiencing problems with some of their accounts. Maybe you were down, did not know it, and now you are up again?

Solution: On my desktop computer I edited my Google account setting and changed from imap to POP3.
N800 / Diablo / 16gb int / 16gb ext / Globalsat BT-359 gps ..... Dell Streak 5 - Android 2.2.2
