Ok, i'm trying to go back to 2007 but no luck. I know you're supposed to hold down the home key while pressing the power button, and you're supposed to get the USB logo in the top right.
I've been trying this and my N800 just boots up normally. Any ideas?

Is it plugged into the charger while you're doing this? I had the same issue until I unplugged the power.

I tried it both ways, with charger plugged in and without, still no luck. Will keep on trying though.

I merely loaded up the Flashing Utility in windows and held home while powering on.

Took a few minutes. Luckily I backed up before flashing to 2008, so I had a full system waiting for me.

Whammo!! It finally took, loading 2007 as i type.
The 2008 preview was nice, but it broke a lot of things for me like bluetooh DUN via my Treo, webpages always crashing, and i mean always, NO skype, NO Navicore (till December), NO FM Radio and on and on.

How funny, I scratched a post I was going to make about the interface of OS2008 earlier.
I really like the OS2007 presentation. Crisp and clean is what came to mind.
Really at barely a year, whats up with the appearance rework? Looks like a step back to me. I also think the themes of OS2007 were not fully realized, should be still usable in the new OS2008. Take some notes from something like Zlauncher for the Palm OS. Lots of theme potential and lots of flexibility re: look and feel, still within a structure.

For a product that is specifically an 'internet tablet' I was very frustrated to find in OS2007, the complete 'blindness' and general incompatibility with N-Routers. In my case D-link's N-Router. Is that being fixed in OS2008?
