Mine is PR1.3.
I downloaded Maesynth last week & I've tried to make it run by clicking on its icon from menu. Nothing has ever happened except a circle arrow on the top of menu has gone circle around for a few seconds.
How can I get the Maesynth to start without using this command line, every time, "python /opt/maesynth/maesynth.py" in X-terminal?

install rootsh from app manager and open xterminal

type sudo gainroot (enter)

now type ...

apt-get install python2.5-sip4=4.10.5-maemo0

this might help you( i had the same problem)

hi nicholes,

thank you for the tip, but when i try that i get all the apps like measynth uninstalled, because they need the newer version

any further suggestions?

to get newer version just update your app manager bro!!!!!

Nope, it doesn't work with mine. After typed "apt-get install python2.5-sip4=4.10.5-maemo0" in X-terminal > sudo gainroot, many applications were removed including Maesynth. I reinstalled Maesynth, clicked on the Maesynth icon, nothing happened. If I want to run Maesynth, I've got to run it from x-term, like the 1st time I asked several months ago.
Any solutions??

with CSSU maesynth not working - no sound output and I also see rendering problem with black keys.

I thought I had the same issue but i found out my phone was set to silent.

So what I can confirm is that it works for the latest CSSU stable.
