I tried to create that sdp file but it always crashes, tester 0.4 or normal 0.2, or if I launch it trough x-term, still same. I have custom kernel v46 installed. Can someone please generate me sdp for this IP: 83.208.15.103 and port 12345, rest default thanks

here you go. Rename and edit off the .txt - needed to be an attachment. That IP is the IP of the streaming n900 right?
Attached Files
File Type: txt K1ll3rm4n.sdp.txt (76 Bytes, 104 views)

My N900 is connected to the internet through and Ad-Hoc connection from the laptop. Can I stream from the n900 to this laptop?
Also why the LED stays red after trying the front cam?
And thanks

Dammit you're the nth person to say that. I really have no clue why that happens, but as mentioned previously, the issue seems to go away when the app "mirror" is installed.

As for ad-hoc streaming.... never tried it, but I reckon it'll work if the two machines share the same network.

127.0.0.1 is not an external facing ip. It is what is known as localhost and is used for internal communications. With the n900 the relevant ip is what gets assigned to the wireless interface by a router. Or by the gpsr modem (the cellphone data link) . For streaming the wireless interface is the one most likely to work.
So find that out. Then take an editor (eg on Windows the prog. notepad) open the spd file, change the ip to the correct value and save.
I did note that the ip looked like it was an external class ip. If that is the pc's address what is assigning it? A direct link to cable or to a router in your home?

Have you done what I have suggested you (stopping the process before killing it)?

About streaming over the internet, the easier way is to set up a vpn otherwise you have to set a routher rule to redirige traffic or the stream will be stopped by router firewall.

Yep, but for some reason that process doesnt want to terminate()/kill()/justDieAlready() so we're stuck with this method. Also I tried optifying the package, but there was a problem with it reading the control file so I had to revert back.

I hear that QtCreator 1.1beta is better at handling this kind of thing than QtCreator2.0.1, so maybe I'll downgrade and see what happens...

Try with
dbus-send --system --type=method_call --dest=com.nokia.mce /com/nokia/mce/request com.nokia.mce.request.req_led_pattern_deactivate string:"PatternWebcamActive"

after you stop the process, it should stop the led.
